Video Systems & Workflows
This group coordinates all work in the Video domain. Where relevant, dedicated groups are created to work on topics in more detail. This group is led by Simon Thompson (BBC). Current focus is on HDR monitors measurement and camera/lens testing guidance.
HDR Implementation Task Force
This group aims to help EBU Members use and deploy HDR technology. It is chaired by Andrew Dunne (BBC).
HDR Downmapping
This industry-wide group aims to help optimize the use of HDR -> SDR downmappers in live TV production.
Video Evaluation
Group that covers all subjective & objective evaluations work, including production codecs, test sequences, AI-empowered algorithms testing, and SD -> HD / HD -> UHD upsampling. Liases with the EBU Distribution SP for video compression topics (e.g. 5G contribution). Led by Roberto Iacoviello (RAI).
UHDTV Strategy Support
A group to identify existing and missing information to help EBU Members create/update their UHDTV (UHD, HDR, NGA) strategies. This is a joint activity with the Audio Systems & Workflows group. This work is led by Karl Petermichl (ORF).
Quality Control
Group where the QC.EBU.IO collection was created and is maintained.
