In this presentation, Simon Thompson (BBC R&D) gives an update of the latest HDR work performed in the context of the EBU Video Systems group.
Thomas Berglund (NRK) then explains the different video level ranges and how they can be used to maximize HDR and, especially, SDR quality. The explanatory charts he handed-out during the event can be downloaded here.
The tutorial included various demonstrations on televisions placed in the room were the tutorial was given. As these demonstrations cannot be reproduced here, they were edited out.
