Scope

Green production is no longer a fringe activity: more sustainable approaches are fast becoming standard practice across the industry. Our group helps Members understand what green production means in practice, how to implement it, and how to achieve sustainable production transformation. By working together, Members can develop strategies that are both better for the environment and economically sound. We are part of the EBU's Production Strategic Programme and work in coordination with the Sustainability for Public Service Media group.

Objectives

We focus on the practical aspects of green production, sharing case studies, running roundtables on production carbon measurement and reporting, and developing guidance on sustainable sets and locations. We organise an annual Sustainability Summit and coordinate our work with the wider sustainability activities in EBU's Legal & Policy and Media Intelligence teams. Our goal is to help Members reduce the environmental impact of production while maintaining the quality and scale their audiences expect.
