This workshop provides an opportunity to EBU Members to experiment with dedicated 5G networks, Wireless Multichannel Audio Systems (WMAS), and Silvus Technologies' MeshLink. It is intended for production professionals that may not yet have a lot of experience with these technologies.
The workshop is organised by the EBU expert group on Programme Making and Special Events (PMSE) and kindly hosted by Bayerischer Rundfunk at their premises in Munich-Freimann.
New wireless technologies are increasingly used in content productions as they enable innovative workflows, more flexibility and creative freedom. Workshop participants will be able to try out equipment in a realistic production scenario and get a feel for the technologies' capabilities and limitations.
It is also an opportunity for networking, sharing experiences, and discussion with wireless production experts.
