The Project Group on Programme Making and Special Events (PMSE) is part of the EBU's Strategic Programme on Spectrum.
The demand for wireless microphones and cordless cameras to produce large sport competitions, cultural events and news has significantly increased over the last few years. It is important for broadcasters to keep up-to-date with wireless audio and video equipment and their requirements, including spectrum availability.
- Help Members keep up-to-date with wireless audio and video equipment used in the production of programmes.
- Provide expertise and guidance regarding current and future requirements for programme-making and special events, including spectrum availability, technical and operational characteristics.
- Follow the work in CEPT FMPT51 and the preparations for the ITU WRC-23, sharing best practice and ensuring Members' interests are adequately represented in various international standardization and regulatory bodies.
