Technology & Innovation Summit 2026
The EBU Technology & Innovation Summit brings together the technical leadership of EBU's member organizations to exchange, collaborate, and help shape the future of public service media technology. The people driving innovation and transformation across the PSM landscape are invited to gather in Barcelona, hosted by RTVE, for two days of discussion, debate, and community-building.
This year's programme (PDF) puts participation at its centre. Alongside reporting on the past actions and future plans of the Technical Committee and its working groups, sessions are designed to hear from more voices, surface more ideas, and create more meaningful connections – between the Technical Committee and working group leadership, between member organizations, and across EBU T&I as a whole.
As a members-only event, the T&I Summit offers a space where public service media technologists can speak frankly with their peers. Alongside the members of the Technical Assembly, the leaders of the Technical Committee's Strategic Programmes, Focus Groups and their sub-groups are invited, together with the Technical Liaison Officers.
Technical Assembly
The 32nd EBU Technical Assembly takes place as part of the Summit. This is an election year, and a new Technical Committee – including its Chair and Vice-Chairs – will be elected during the event. As usual, the programme will include reporting on the past year's activities and the future strategy and structures of EBU T&I, woven into the Summit as a whole rather than treated as a separate block., woven into the Summit as a whole rather than set apart as a separate block.
