The task of professionally debunking disinformation narratives is not trivial and the significant increase in information shared online has added a huge strain on the work of journalists and fact-checkers. This talk presents ongoing work on AI-based tools for assisting the work of professional fact-checking, and the current challenges and future directions in this area.
