Exploring debunked content with AI-based veraAI tools

This is the sixth edition of a series of monthly webinars about the veraAI project’s innovative research on AI-based fact-checking tools.

Join us on 26 March at 11:00 Geneva time to hear from Andrey Tagarev and Nedelina Mitankina from Ontotext (business name Graphwise) about their work on exploring archived for previously debunked content.

For verification professionals and disinformation researchers alike, it is of great importance to not only have access to existing verification data but also to be able to study and derive insights from it. This webinar will discuss ways to facilitate the exploration process of an archive called Database of Known Fakes, through a range of AI-based search functionalities, such as a chatbot assistant that “talks” to the database and skillfully leverages various query methods to unearth verification content for the user.

This webinar, which targets anyone interested in the technological aspects of AI-based fact-checking, is open to EBU Members and Associates, as well as media professionals. Only registrants with company emails will admitted (no Gmail please). Please register in advance.

The veraAI project is co-financed by the European Union, Horizon Europe programme, Grant Agreement No 101070093, with additional funding from Innovate UK grant No 10039055 and the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) under contract No 22.00245.
