This document describes the EBU ADM Renderer (EAR) - an audio renderer providing a complete interpretation of the Audio Definition Model (ADM).
EBU Tech 3388 was a major source for Recommendation ITU-R BS.2127 (Audio Definition Model renderer for advanced sound systems), which has effectively superseded the EBU publication. This final, version 2 is therefore a pointer document to the ITU specification. The EBU will no longer further develop Tech 3388. The previous version is available below, for information.
The renderer specification is accompanied by an open source reference implementation, written in Python for file-based ADM processing, available at https://www.itu.int/dms_pub/itu-r/oth/0a/07/R0A0700003E0001ZIPE.zip.
