In cooperation with the Traveller Information Services Association (TISA), Bayerische Medien Technik (bmt) will offer a one-day TPEG-Workshop “Getting in touch with TPEG” on the 23rd of June 2009 in Munich (Germany).
EBU development
TPEG is a protocol developed by the EBU in cooperation with the European Union which was designed to broadcast digital travel- and traffic information. The workshop is addressed to all engineering staff from manufacturers of end-user devices, broadcast network providers, multiplexer manufacturers, service and programme providers, the automobile industry, and representatives from the broadcast industry.
| The workshop will be in English, and no previous experience with TPEG is required. The speakers Bev Marks (Holly Blue Associates) and Martin Dreher (bmt) will present the following topics:
- Introduction to TPEG Technology - TPEG Specifications - TPEG Reception in Theory and Hands-on Session - TPEG Service Design in Theory and Hands-on Session

About TISA
The Traveller Information Services Association (TISA) was established as a not for-profit company to ensure an international framework for market-driven, coordinated, proactive implementation of traffic and travel information services and products based on existing standards such as RDS-TMC and TPEG. It also works towards their development and deployment.
