The media industry is in the middle of a series of pivotal shifts occuring all at once. At this year’s IBC, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is showcasing how public service media is pursuing advancements in three crucial areas: trust in media, scalable infrastructures that deliver efficiency and in the AI age, and diversified infrastructures for resilience and sovereignty.
The EBU stand at 10.D21 (hall 10) is the homebase of public service media at IBC. A complete list of all showcases and meetups is available on the EBU @ IBC 2025 webpage.
If you don't have an IBC ticket yet: Use code IBC1467 in the IBC online checkout to wave the entrance fee.
Trust and authenticity
See how we are working to tackle disinformation head-on:
- C2PA is no longer theory – DW, WDR/ARD, Adobe, Sony and others will show content provenance workflows, while France Télévisions presents a live production implementation.
- Meet the experts at the C2PA Meetup and explore veraAI, an EU-funded project deploying AI tools against disinformation.
- With EBU NEO, newsrooms are rethinking how AI can support trusted journalism.
Scaling infrastructures for the AI age
With all ingredients in place, we think modern infrastructure architectures now need to be conceived to be virtualized, interoperable, and AI-ready:
- Dynamic Media Facilities (DMF) & Media eXchange Layer (MXL), with CBC/Radio-Canada and Nvidia, demonstrate the future of containerized, scalable workflows.
- The DMF Meetup brings together leaders from EBU, BBC, AMWA, and more.
- Don’t miss the AI Sandbox (with Radio France, RTS, Rai, SwissTXT) and EU-funded XR projects like XReco and TRANSMIXR showcasing new storytelling possibilities.
Sovereignty and resilience
Diversified infrastructures are critical for media to be able to maintain operational independence and deliver essential services to audiences, no only in time of crisis.
- 5G-Emerge and 5G-MAG highlight alternative delivery paths and standards fit for media.
- EuroVOX and PEACH put AI-driven language and personalization tech in your hands, ensuring you own your data.
- TEMS, Security4Media, and the panel on Sovereignty in Cloud and AI Services ask the hard questions about Europe’s digital independence.
