The European Broadcasting Union will deploy a number of activities around subtitling at the IBC this year. Besides presentations and a subtitling product vendors tour, the EBU will host a 'cross-industry' meeting to share the latest on subtitling formats (not limited to EBU initiatives) and to discuss how to maximize interoperability and harmonization in the future.
At IBC 2015, the EBU hosted a similar meeting, which was very well visited and showed the interest in the topic and the value of bringing industry representatives together during such an event. This year the meeting will be a bit longer, and will include a series of very brief (5 minutes) presentations in which participants can update their peers on recent subtitling work, including standards and implementations.
Registration
