During IBC 2016 the EBU is organizing the following activities related to subtitling:
1. Presentations in the EBU Innovation Theatre
2. A subtitling vendors tour
3. A cross-industry meeting on subtitling formats
Presentations
The presentations will give an update on using the EBU-TT specifications. The Open Source Meet-up will include at least one presentation on subtitling, as well.

The vendors tour is organized to look at some of the latest (product) developments and to discuss subtitling standardization in general. The target audience is formed by broadcaster representatives responsible for or working with subtitling technology.

Cross-industry meeting
The EBU-sponsored subtitling meeting will bring together key representatives from industry organizations working on subtitling formats (not limited to the EBU or its Members). The goals are to share the latest on the 'subtitling formats landscape' and to encourage harmonization where possible.
The meeting will take place in the Holiday Inn Hotel (close to the IBC venue) on Saturday 10 September from 11:00 - 13:30 hrs (including lunch). Registration for this meeting is mandatory and places are limited.
If you are interested in this event, please send an e-mail to subtitling@ebu.ch stating your name, company and if you want to give a brief (5 minutes!) presentation on your work in this domain.
The EBU reserves the right to limit participation (e.g. if multiple registrations from the same organization are received).
A more detailed programme will be shared amongst the participants, closer to the event.
