The 24th Technical Assembly took place at MediaCityUK in Salford/Manchester, UK, kindly hosted by BBC in conjunction with ITV and RTE.
The TA takes stock of the work done in EBU Strategic Programmes and groups during the year leading up to the event; reviews and updates the Workplan that will guide the EBU Technology & Innovation department for the next 12 months; and in even years, including 2018, elects the 13 Members of the Technical Committee to oversee the work of the Strategic Programmes headquartered at EBU T&I.
The event is a unique opportunity for the technology leaders of EBU Members to meet with their peers from a large number of fellow Member organizations and to share information of common interest. Alongside the Assembly programme, delegates are invited to view technology demonstrations, tour the host organizations' technical facilities and join evening social activities.
