The first year of the EU project MUSCADE has been completed. The project team has reviewed the results achieved with reviewers in a meeting held on 4 and 5 April 2011 at the Heinrich-Hertz-Institute in Berlin. Each project partner provided a presentation on a specific work package or task. Additionally a demonstration of the multiview camera rig, invented by KUK, was provided.

The most important result is the 3D audio-visual recording that has been made in the project. The shooting of multiview pictures with four cameras was completed succesfully. The next step will be to increase the number of cameras, offering a wider viewing angle composed of more views. Also important is the audio recording used in the project: a microphone array and an additional, separate microphone provide for a spatial sound impression.
