The annual Network Technology Conference of the EBU Technical, co-organised with EBU Training and with the cooperation of the US based Video Services Forum has revealed the importance of IP and network technologies and their use in modern Broadcasting operations.
The participants and presenters have discussed prominent Use Cases in using IP Content transfers for major events and the use of IP for contribution links. Further sessions on Metadata, Technology Standards to foster interoperability, Network based Production Architectures, IP Security issues and link protections, as well as a future outlook on 3D-TV and its impact to contribution, networked synchronisation mechanism for professional Audio-Video transfer have provoked interactive discussions with the audience.
