EBU seeks new Technology & Innovation Director

The EBU is seeking candidates for the position of Director of Technology & Innovation. The current director, Lieven Vermaele (pictured), will leave the EBU in June to return to his home country of Belgium where he will be the CEO of a technology start-up. He has worked at the EBU since September 2007.

 

The Director of Technology & Innovation is an important role, reporting directly to the EBU's Director General. The EBU and its Members have a major influence on media technology. The new Director will build on the work of his/her predecessors to ensure that the Technology & Innovation Department continues to be a vital and respected partner for public service broadcasters and for the wider media industry.

 

As a member of the EBU management committee, the Director also plays a major part in shaping EBU strategy.
