Some of the EBU’s foremost experts on IP and Cloud-based production technology will be presenting at the SMPTE Toronto section’s 22nd Technical Conference, hosted as a virtual event 15-17 June.

Ievgen Kostiukevych (EBU Senior IP Media Technology Architect) and Pavlo Kondratenko (EBU Project Manager Media Production over IP Networks) will be joining EBU Technical Committee Chair Judy Parnall (BBC) and serving SMPTE President Hans Hoffmann (EBU) to reflect on the evolution of technology ecosystems that are supporting new content acquisition, production and distribution methods.

The three-day event will also bring together Canada’s largest technical audience of media technology professionals and industry experts under the topical umbrella ‘Media Fast Forward’.

The SMPTE event is a training and networking opportunity for the engineering and production community who work in the multi-billion dollar Television, Cinema and Media industries. It is organized and operated by volunteers from SMPTE’s Toronto Section, with a non-commercial editorial process at the heart of its presentation selection process.

Apart from high-profile keynote speakers and many technical presentations, from Canadian and International Presenters, the Technical Conference also includes informative roundtable discussions and breakout rooms to engage professionally and socially with peers and colleagues.
