With internet-based media offerings becoming more sophisticated and audience expectations rising, data science is becoming a fundamental skill for broadcasters seeking to deliver successful services.
The EBU Data Science working group gathers data scientists from within the EBU Membership and aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practice among Member organizations.
Kick-off event
17-18 January 2019 at the RTS and EBU facilities in Geneva – open to employees of EBU Members
The goal of this event is to allow the new EBU Data Science working group to build a general understanding of its participants' current data science activities. We therefore request at least one presentation per broadcaster and data team. If multiple teams from a broadcaster are attending, each team is welcome to give a full presentation. On request an extra 15 minutes can be made available to individual team members wanting to go into more technical details.
