C2PA Workflows

Practical implementation of content provenance standards in broadcast workflows.

Scope

The C2PA Workflows group focuses on the practical implementation of the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA) specifications and standards in broadcast and media production workflows. C2PA provides a technical framework for attaching verified provenance information to media content, helping audiences and platforms distinguish authentic content from manipulated or synthetic material. We work to help EBU Members adopt C2PA as an operational tool, addressing the workflow integration challenges that arise when implementing provenance and authentication at scale in real broadcast environments.

Objectives

We help Members understand C2PA's technical requirements, evaluate implementation options, and develop practical guidance for integrating content provenance into existing production and distribution workflows. We also engage with the broader C2PA community and with platform partners to ensure that public service media's implementation approach is interoperable and that PSM content's provenance credentials are recognised and displayed correctly.
