Organized by the ADM Implementers group
The advanced audio capabilities of the MPEG-H Next Generation Audio codec closely align with the concepts defined in ADM. In fact, both have been developed in parallel with significant mutual influence and collaboration.
However, as ADM serves as an open and flexible framework rather than a prescriptive implementation, important differences and practical considerations remain. With several years of deployment in markets such as Korea and Brazil, MPEG-H has proven to be a transformative technology – not only enhancing the end-user experience but also reshaping production workflows and creative possibilities. In this presentation, Yannik Grewe from Fraunhofer IIS provides practical insights into how the MPEG-H ADM Profile enables seamless interoperability between file-based and real-time broadcast environments, bridging the gap between production and distribution.
