The JT-DMF Kick-off Meeting marks the official commencement of the new Joint Task Force on Dynamic Media Facilities (JT-DMF) initiative. The JT-DMF was announced at IBC 2025 to provide a platform for industry-wide collaboration on DMF. This two-day working session will set the organisation in motion, build momentum, and align contributors around our shared objectives.
Who it’s for
Experts from AMWA and the EBU who intend to contribute actively in one of the initial working tracks (see below). Seats are limited; a maximum of two participants per organisation is allowed. The registration link will be sent soon.

- Thursday, 27 November 2025 – Arrival at 08:30, meeting from 09:00 to 17:00
- Friday, 28 November 2025 – Arrival at 08:30, meeting from 09:00 to 16:00
Format
- Face-to-face meeting
- Free remote participation available for the 90 min. summary and concluding session on Friday at 14:30 CET (5:30 PST, 8:30 EST, 13:30 GMT, 22:30 JST)
Working tracks
Active participation is expected in at least one of the four working tracks:
- End-to-End Synchronisation Model: to ensure uniform alignment of time-related essence in an asynchronous processing DMF
- Compute Resources Management: to achieve multi-vendor hosting of Media Functions on the same nodes
- MXL Flow Discovery and Connection: to provide an architecture for control protocol (such as NMOS) to discover and connect MXL flow.
- A Business-Level discussion will also be held to explore strategic considerations and to align priorities.
