BERN - Swisscom and SRG/SSR (the Swiss national broadcasting organisation) have announced the availability of HbbTV services on Swisscom’s TV 2.0 Box. This ground-breaking announcement means that HbbTV services enjoyed already by customers on satellite, and some cable networks in Switzerland are now also available on a first IPTV network.
HbbTV means that viewers with connected TVs can push a red button to access exciting add-on and program related services on their TV set like catch-up TV, informational services, children’s applications and a full range of Swiss radio services. "The interactive television experience offers our viewers additional important information, which we intend to continuously expand over the coming years", said Roger de Weck, General Manager of SRG.
