ITU-R Study Group 6, whose members include the EBU, has been asked by a number of the world's national administrations to examine the prospects for 'standardisation' of 3D-TV technology. 3D-TV is really one of the hottest technical subjects today, and many manufacturers and universities are studying options and making proposals. There is more than a strong risk of many different systems emerging, even within single countries.

Help the ITU to rationalize

If you would like to help the ITU-R to try to rationalize the situation you can do so by completing a short questionnaire about 3D-TV. The questionnaire was developed to enlist responses from national administrations and ITU 'Sector Members'. It is also open to non ITU-R members, provided they give details of their organization.
