German public broadcast organization Deutschlandradio will be using the EBU PEACH recommendation system to add personalized content offerings in its Deutschlandfunk app.

The roll-out, initially covering about 1% of the users of the app, is scheduled to reach 100% coverage within a week.

Deutschlandradio joins a vibrant community of broadcasters using and contributing to PEACH. The membership allows Deutschlandradio to leverage collective insights and innovations from other broadcasters to refine its content delivery.

“PEACH is a good fit for us for many reasons”, says Jan Janka, Product Owner and Data Scientist at Deutschlandradio. “From a technical perspective, we get a modern tech stack, a real-time tracking solution not relying on third parties, and a preview tool for recommendations that is useful when collaborating with editors. From a management perspective, PEACH shines with its transparency and adjustability, a short time to market, and a community of European broadcasters with an established mode of collaboration.”
