Scope
The LiveIP Club is a group of practitioners supporting EBU Members in transitioning to IP-based live media production. We facilitate knowledge exchange and develop practical guidance for technical teams working through this transition. Our work is grounded in real deployments: the group operates the Live IP Media Accelerator (LIMA) kit, which Members can use for hands-on testing and learning. We are building this into a broader community of practice where IP production practitioners across PSM organisations can share experience and support each other.
Objectives
We aim to bridge the skills gap in IP-based media production, transforming the group into a thriving Live IP community of practice with regular meetings and growing attendance. We share findings from LIMA deployments with the wider Membership, contribute to broader EBU IP production activities, and help Members develop the internal expertise needed to plan and operate IP production environments confidently.
Deliverables
- LIMA kit deployments to multiple EBU Members
- Community of practice established, with regular meetings and growing attendance
- Findings shared with the wider Membership
- Active contribution to broader EBU IP production activities
