Scope
With our Media Cybersecurity activities, we aim to raise awareness and improve the ability to defend against evolving security threats across the media industry. We bring together security experts from EBU Members to exchange knowledge and experience on security topics, and we work collaboratively to ensure that media systems, infrastructure, and organizations are protected against potentially damaging attacks. The group is dedicated to security experts from Member organisations, and includes participants from EBU members all over Europe.
Objectives
We raise awareness of evolving information security risks across the industry in regular online and on-site events. Within our EBU CISO group, we exchange information on general media and broadcasting security threats, including phishing campaigns, attacks on media environments. We also share experiences on prevention and detection tools, procedures and compliance to EU regulations. We define long-term information security best practices for broadcast organisations and security requirements for media systems. We also run testing activities with members and vendors.
