Scope

The Artificial Intelligence and Metadata group (AIM) advances AI and metadata expertise across public service media through knowledge sharing and cross-organisational collaboration. We connect practitioners working on AI applications and metadata systems, provide a forum for discussing common challenges, and help Members stay current in a domain that changes rapidly. We also play a central role in organising and developing the EBU's Data, Technology & Society (DTS) event, which connects data and AI practitioners from across the PSM community.

Objectives

We help Members share knowledge on AI and metadata topics, connect with peers across PSM organisations, and contribute to collective outputs that benefit the whole community. We coordinate closely with the AI Accelerator Focus Group and with the AI Evaluation and Metadata Modelling subgroups, ensuring that practical work is grounded in Members' real needs and that findings are shared across the full EBU community.
