When you have invested in HDTV cameras, you probably wish to optimize your technical and creative skills in setting up and manipulating the devices. You want the cameras to be able to produce according to your expectations. Simply put, you want to get the best out of your camera.
That was exactly the aim of this EBU HD Camera Workshop. The first day of the event was dedicated to theory, first shootings with default HD camera settings and a group review of the material shot. On the second day, the participating broadcasting teams were asked to optimize the settings for their creative shootings and use it for a second shooting. A group review and discussion helped understand what settings work best.
