Steve Allison (Adobe)

         

Steven Allison is a Senior Technical Evangelist for Adobe’s Flash media Technologies for the EMEA region. In this role, Allison provides strategic technical advice to partners and Adobe sales for the Flash Media Server, Adobe Media Player and other technologies related to Flash Video and DRM. He also provides best-practice training for customers and partners in how to maximize the business value of Adobe video products.

Before this position, Allison was Senior Consultant at Adobe Systems Europe Ltd responsible for web conferencing, e-learning and Flash video delivery. He helped businesses develop their technical and business video and eLearning portal strategies across the U.K. and worldwide.

Before Adobe, Allison was a Technical Sales Manager for Macromedia. Earlier in his career, Allison worked for several leading software companies including BancTec and BroadVision. Allison holds an Economics degree from Manchester Metropolitan University in Manchester, U.K.

Adobe AIR

 

Flash is the market leader in web video. As part of its evolution, Flash can now be found on a wide variety of devices – from Set-top boxes to smart phones. Flash is often embedded in these devices as part of the AIR runtime. This talk discusses these versions of Flash on devices, looking in particular at AIR for TV, AIR for Mobile and Adobe’s capabilities around multi-protocol delivery.
