New builders: Transitioning from traditional broadcast equipment to software at CBC Toronto

In this webinar our presenters will discuss CBC/Radio-Canada's transition from traditional broadcast equipment to software-based solutions running on standard IT infrastructure, driven by the need for greater agility in the rapidly evolving media landscape.

After successfully completing an SDI-to-IP transition at the Montreal HQ, CBC/Radio-Canada have begun upgrading the technology at their Toronto HQ, leveraging software applications and cloud architecture.

In recent months, CBC/Radio-Canada collaborated with the EBU Dynamic Media Facility (DMF) group to develop the DMF Reference Architecture, aiming to establish a shared vision among users. This was presented at IBC, generating significant industry interest. Since then, the group has been consulting with key industry players to explore multi-vendor interoperability in this new space. Finally, we are eager to hear from the New Builders about how they are integrating DMF into their technology roadmaps.
