Mykhailo Fedorov, who is Ukraine's Vice Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology and its Minister for Digital Transformation, will be a special guest keynote speaker at this month's EBU Network Technology Seminar. He will talk about the country's digital transformation, which had begun before the war with Russia and continues to advance despite the difficult conditions.
While NTS is focused on the latest developments in media production infrastructures, networks, and cloud technologies, Mr. Fedorov's talk will provide attendees with an opportunity to learn about a different set of technical challenges. With the establishment of a dedicated ministry in 2019, Ukraine embarked on an ambitious digital transformation programme covering areas such as e-services and e-democracy, electronic idenfitifcation, digital infrastructure and cybersecurity. The goal of digitizing government services became all the more urgent with the Russian invasion, with a need to enable citizens to conduct their business without undertaking unnecessary journeys.

The event takes place in Geneva on 15 and 16 May, with the first day dedicated to keynotes, use cases and technology updates. Mr. Fedorov's fellow keynote speakers are from Nvidia and Microsoft.
In a new approach for 2023, the second day will follow the unconference format, with participants co-creating the agenda that morning by pitching sessions on whatever topics are of most relevance and importance to them.
