MDN Workshop 2021


The MDN Workshop is the annual meeting point for developers working on Metadata and Artificial Intelligence in broadcasting. It is open to the public.

The event is organized under the EBU Production Strategic Programme by Media Information Management and AI (MIM-AI) and the Metadata Developer Network (MDN), an active community for developers to share knowledge, learn from their peers, get feedback and collaborate on metadata-related projects.

The format will be similar to MDN 2020: a three-day online workshop open to the public.

OVERVIEW OF THE PROGRAMME

MDN is the annual meeting on Metadata and Artificial Intelligence for Public Service Media. It provides a mix of innovative projects from EBU members, academics, industry specialists, and relevant approaches covering topics on MetaData and AI in the media field. This year we have presentations from :
BBC, Yle, Radio France, Rai, SRF, SWR,  SVT, VRT, ORF, France Télévisions, RTS - Radio Télévision Suisse, TV2 Norway, TV2 Denmark, RTBF, SWISS TXT, EBU, INA, UNESCO, Fraunhofer, Joanneum Research, Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH), University of Helsinki, University of Surrey, University of Bergen, University of Stavanger, Aalto University.
