Connected Devices have radically altered how audiences consume media and the have potential to go much further, transforming the traditional one-to-many distribution model into something more direct: using internet connectivity to deliver a personalized and more interactive user experience.
The EBU’s Connected Cars and Devices group, a subgroup of the Strategic Programme for Platforms, has bought EBU members together to discuss challenges and opportunities in this area. It provides an open forum in to discuss projects, strategies and insights. The goal is to catalyse collaboration between EBU members and shape a unified view for Public Service Media that benefits audiences and the wider media and broadcasting industry.
The scope is both audio and video services, where traditional Radio and Television is being transformed by interactive and personalized user experiences either linking broadcast with broadband or as fully OTT (over the top) services.
We welcome more members to join us and help us realise our vision.
