The Expert Community on Spectrum (ECS) met on 12 May 2010 at the EBU Headquarters in Geneva.
The ECS works with the EBU Members on developing solutions in relation to:
- Access to frequency spectrum for broadcasting services taking into account long term requirements,
- Planning for television and radio coverage using new systems and for new types of service,
- Ensuring the protection of the broadcasting services from potential interference due to spectrum sharing with other services, or due to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) issues.
