MDN Workshop 2013

This workshop was a chance to be updated on the use of metadata in the broadcast industry and to learn by joining the discussions. MDN stands for Metadata Developer Network, which is part of the EBU's strategic programme on Media Information Management.

TOSCA-MP Demonstration & Test Workshop

The TOSCA-MP  project aims to develop user-centric content annotation and search tools for professionals in networked media production and archiving (television, radio, online), addressing their specific use cases and workflow requirements. TOSCA-MP investigates scalable and distributed content processing methods performing advanced multimodal information extraction and semantic enrichment. Other key technology areas include search methods across heterogeneous networked content repositories and novel user interfaces.

At this workshop, taking place at the EBU prior to the MDN workshop, we present a first prototype system, including a set of distributed repositories, a services for adaptive content analysis and a semantic search engine. The workshop includes demonstrations as well as hands-on testing of the prototypes.
