Johan Hoffman (VRT)

 Johan Hoffman holds a degree of master in electronics engineering and a degree of doctor in computer science, both obtained at the University of Ghent, Belgium.

After obtaining his Ph.D. in 1997, he was employed at Accenture as a consultant and manager on various large-scale international software development and implementation projects, in roles as design lead, technical architect and delivery manager.

In 2004, he started at VRT, the public broadcaster for the Flemish Community in Belgium, as the IT operations manager. Since then, he has held various positions in the management of VRT’s technology department. In 2006-2007 he was responsible for the delivery of VRT’s internal digitization effort, the digital media factory. Currently he combines the roles of manager of technology architecture and financial manager for the technology department.
