Internet services are of growing importance for public broadcasters. Audiences are using different types of devices to access media and more media is being delivered via broadband networks. This workshop will concentrated on the over-the-top (OTT) services and content delivery networks (CDNs).
In particular, we focused on such subjects and answered the questions such as:
- The market context and trend dynamics: how will OTT video and multi-screen service deployment change the demand for video delivery?
- The CDN sector: what different types can we identify? how big is the market? who are the key players?
- The CDN vendor perspective: how do vendors view the situation?
- Video in the context of global data transmissions: unicast versus multicast, CDNs versus other transmission technologies
... and more!
