FNS uWorkshop on Real-time Media Network Architectures 2016

There are many possible approaches to network architectures to achieve the real-time performance required for live production. In order to demystify and analyse the different options, FNS has invited representatives from the industry, from both network vendors (Cisco, Mellanox) and broadcast equipment manufacturers (Imagine Communications and Nevion), to answer your hot burning questions. Moderated discussion with the participants will stimulate the debate and identify key considerations for the broadcasters who are envisaging their transition to IP infrastructures.

Target Audience

  • System designers, architects, engineers having to plan, advise, decide and design new IP-based production systems

Key take away from the day

  • Overview of the different architecture options for real-time media networks (topologies, QoS, SDN, multicast, etc.)
  • Considerations to select proper approach for the specific needs and operational benefits
  • Fundamental knowledge from your complementary domain of expertise (IT vs Broadcast)
