EBU TECHNICAL is looking for an expert in broadband systems and multimedia platforms to come and join a dynamic team championing the ideals of public service broadcasting.
Skills for this position
Coordinating
- Working within the EBU Technical Committee working group structure, to bring together technical expertise necessary
to formulate and draft EBU policies on key technologies in the broadband domain;
- Bringing together the necessary cross-industry experts to work together to validate work done in the context of EBU
working groups.
Developing
- Working with industry partners to put together trials and proof-of-concept demonstrators in the area of
broadband delivery of media;
- Working in the context of EU part-funded FP7 projects to develop and document EBU deliverables.
Promoting
- Developing and producing EBU technical events in the area of broadband-delivered media and associated platforms;
- Representing EBU positions in relevant external bodies such as DVB, ETSI, W3C, etc.;
- Writing articles and other papers explaining EBU’s positions in the area of broadband television and platforms.
