With less than two weeks left to go, the EBU is a buzz with preparations for the next Production Technology Seminar (taking place 26-28 January). Known as being the place to be to hear about the latest developments in production, get hands on with new technology and meet experts from around the world, the room is always packed at PTS.
This year the event promises to bring to life the future of television – or more accurately, the television of the future. How real is virtual reality for broadcasters and consumers? What’s next for UHDTV? What format should you choose? And how personal will your television become in the next year?
Key speakers from EBU Members and the broadcasting technology industry will give their opinions on the latest trends and outline what’s next for television and production in general.
The EBU is also pleased to report that 15 demonstrations of the latest technology – from Dolby, Canon, BBC, LG, ZDF, ARTE, Fraunhofer, Sky News and more! – will take place alongside the conference sessions. Delegates will also have the unique opportunity to join tutorials in the afternoon to learn more about a topic of their choice.
