Every year, thousands of developers of free and open source software from all over the world gather at the annual FOSDEM event in Brussels. As usual, the EBU is helping to organize an 'Open Media' Devroom at the event.
A full day of media projects
The day-long 'Open Media' session encourages presentations on Free and Open Source Media Projects (software and/or hardware) related to audio and video applications, including formats, codecs, web applications, IPTV, broadcasting, radio, etc. Last year's programme attracted so many people that the allocated room was too small for several of the presentations. This year the organizers expect a similar success.
Proposals welcome
If you are interested to present at the 'Open Media' Devroom, you can submit your proposal to the FOSDEM website. Be sure to select ‘Open Media Devroom’ in the event form. The deadline for submissions is 15 December 2015.
