Several Next Generation Audio (NGA) systems are now available for broadcasters' use. Presently, the great majority of broadcasters have yet to decide on generally adopting NGA, although there are various compelling reasons to consider this technology.

Whilst there are many similarities and many differences between the available NGA codecs, this BPN outlines the pros and cons of their applicability (e.g., technical features, implementation status, etc.) to the broadcast use case.
