Lipsync errors are only encountered in television systems, the problem being that the video processing applied to a modern day digital video signal is far more cumbersome than that applied to its accompanying digital audio. It also takes much longer to process, which gives the effect that the audio arrives before its associated video. Imagine the effect of hearing the clap of thunder before you see the flash of light - most distressing! |
